DISTRIBUZIONE E CONSISTENZA DELLA POPOLAZIONE NIDIFICANTE DI PICCHIO VERDE, PICUS VIRIDIS, IN PROVINCIA DI MANTOVA NEL PERIODO 2000-2017 (LOMBARDIA, ITALIA SETTENTRIONALE)

Riassunto – Viene analizzata e descritta la distribuzione e la consistenza della popolazione di picchio verde, Picus viridis, nidificante in Provincia di Mantova nel periodo 2000-2017. L’indagine ha appurato un’evidente espansione territoriale, un maggior numero di siti occupati rispetto ai decenni precedenti, quando la specie nel periodo 1983-1987 era presente con certezza soltanto in 3 località, oltre ad una maggiore consistenza numerica. Nel periodo 2000-2010 la specie è risultata presente in 44 siti con un incremento percentuale del 1,36%, mentre nel periodo 2011-2017 in 74 siti, con un aumento percentuale del 68,19% rispetto alla fase di studio 2000-2010.

Abstract – Distribution and consistency of the nesting Green Woodpecker population, Picus viridis, in the Province of Mantua in the period 2000-2017 (Lombardy, Northern Italy). Here is analized and described the distribution and consistency of Green Woodpecker, Picus viridis, which was nesting in the Province of Mantua in the period 2000-2017. The research has underlined an evident territorial expansion and a higher number of occupied sites compared to the previous decades. In the period 1983-1987 the species was for sure present only in 3 sites and moreover there is also an increased numerical consistency. In the period 2000-2010, the species was present in 44 sites with a percentage increase of 1,36%, while in the period 2011-2017 its presence was in 74 sites and therefore the percentage was in 74 sites and therefore the percentage increase was 68,19%, referred to the studies of 2000-2010.
