Riassunto - Nel presente lavoro vengono illustrati i risultati preliminari degli scavi archeologici effettuati nel 1997 nel sito del Neolitico Antico scoperto in località Cascina Bocche, in Comune di Isorella. L'insediamento è stato attribuito, sulla base delle caratteristiche dei reperti della cultura materiale, al Gruppo del Vhò. L'abbondante ceramica recuperata mostra forme inedite e un forte influsso della limitrofa Cultura di Fiorauo. La struttura scavata, una macchia lenti colare di circa 20 m', ha restituito caratteristica industria litica, fauna, industria su osso e vari oggetti d'ornamento, tra cui un frammento di anellone in pietra levigata e un bracciale di Spondylus, il primo conosciuto per il Neolitico Antico della Val Padana. Sono state effettuate indagini archeometriche di cui vengono presentati i risultati disponibili. Vengono infine discussi i dati raccolti alla luce delle attuali conoscenze sul Gruppo del Vhò.

Summary - New data on the Vhò Group from the excavations at the settlement of Isorella (Brescia, northem Italy). The Author gives an account of the 1997 fieldwork season at the Early Neolithic site discovered near Cascina Bocche. The site has been attrihuted to the Vhò Culture on the basis of the characteristics of the material culture assemblage. The pottery shows new forms and a strong influx of the neighbouring Fiorano Culture. A large chipped f1int assemblage, faunal remains and several ormamental objects, among which are one polished stone ring fragment and one Spondylus bracelet, the first so far found at an Early Neolithic site of the Po Plain, have also been recovered from the excavated pit, a shallow structure of about 20m'. The results of thc excavation and of the archaeometrical studies are discussed in the light of the actual knowledge of the Vhò Group.
