NUOVI SITI MESOLITICI IN PROVINCIA DI UDINE

Riassunto - Ricerche di superficie hanno portato all'individuazione di 5 siti preistorici riferibili al Mesolitico. Tre stazioni (Fornaci De Mezzo; Corno-Ripudio; Cassacco) si collocano nella fascia collinare a nord di Udine nell'anfiteatro morenico del Tagliamento, ai margini di antichi bacini inframorenici ora prosciugati. Fornaci De Mezzo ha restituito un'industria di tipo Sauveterriano, forse riferibile alla fase antica (prima metà del decimo millennio BP). Corno-Ripudio presenta invece caratteri che potrebbero indicare una fase antica del Castelnoviano, qui attestato da due armature trapezoidali. A Cassacco sono invece numerosi i Trapezi e le tipiche lame denticolate castelnoviane. Due i siti rinvenuti nell'area della bassa pianura friulana: Porpetto e Bertiolo. Il primo ha restituito pochi elementi del Mesolitico Recente, mentre il secondo parrebbe attribuibile, con riserve, al Mesolitico Antico o alla fase finale dell'Epigravettiano Italico.
Abstract - Discovery of Mesolithic sites in the Province of Udine (Northern Italy). Archaeological Surveys carried out in the Province of Udine led to the discovery of five Mesolithic sites. Three of these stations (Fornaci De Mezzo, Corno-Ripudio and Cassacco) lie along the shores of small basins of the morainic are of the river Tagliamento. Fornaci De Mezzo produced a Sauveterrian industry probably to be attributed to the first half of the tenth millennium BP. Corno-Ripudio, which yielded two trapezoidal points, might belong to the Early Castelnovian. Cassacco gave many trapezes and notched bladelets of Castelnovian type. Two sites were also discovered in the Friuli plain, namely Porpetto and Bertiolo. The first gave a few Late Mesolithic artefacts, while the second is to be attributed to the Early Mesolithic or to the Final Epigravettian.
