ANALISI BIOLOGICA DELLA QUALITÀ DELLE ACQUE DEL BACINO DEL FIUME MELLA (Brescia, Lombardia)

Riassunto - Nel corso del 1989 sono state indagate le popolazioni di macroinvertebrati del F. Mella e dei suoi principali affluenti nel bacino idrografico della Val Trompia al fine di valutare la qualità delle acque. Sono state scelte venti stazioni (nove sull'asta principale e undici sugli affluenti) e in ognuna sono stati effettuati due campionamenti, in corrispondenza dei regimi idrologici di piena e di magra. I dati sono stati elaborati tramite il metodo E. B .l. e sulla base dei risultati è stata stilata la mappa di qualità delle acque del bacino. Le indagini hanno permesso di suddividere il corso del fiume in tre parti con indici decrescenti di qualità; tra gli affluenti alcuni hanno acque di ottima qualità, altri invece presentano acque fortemente inquinate.
Abstract - Biological analysis of the water quality of the River Mella basin (Brescia-Lombardy). During 1989 the macroinvertebrate populations of the river Mella and its main tributaries were investigated in the drainage basin of Val Trompia, in order to evaluate the quality of waters. Twenty sampling points were chosen (nine on the main river course and eleven on the tributaries) and in each of them two samplings were carried out, in correspondence with conditions of high and low water. The data were elaborated according to the E.B.I. method and on the base of the results the map of waters quality of the basin was drawn. According to the results, the course of the river may be divided into three sections with decreasing quality indexes; among the tributaries some have waters of very good quality, others, on the contrary, have very polluted waters.
