ERPETOFAUNA E TERIOFAUNA DELL'AREA SABINA MERIDIONALE E DEL TERRITORIO CICOLANO (Lazio, Italia Centrale)

Riassunto - Dopo una breve introduzione sui principali aspetti geomorfologici, climatici e botanici del comprensorio si passa all'esame della fauna vertebrata con esclusivo riguardo agli Anfibi, Rettili e Mammiferi. L'elenco faunistico, 46 specie, comprende 8 Anfibi, 11 Rettili e 27 Mammiferi. L'analisi ecologica evidenzia l'assenza o la rarità di molte specie termofile, un fatto che trova spiegazione nella posizione "continentale" dell'area. Tra le entità segnalate molte sono rare o localizzate, e per esse, come più in generale per l'intero territorio, si auspicano opportuni interventi tutelativi.
Abstract - Amphibians, Reptiles and Mammals of Sabini Mts. and Cicolano districts, Latium, Central Italy. After a brief introduction to the main geological, climatological and botanical features of the area- a territory of Latium region, Central Italy- the work synthetized data about its vertebrate fauna with exclusive regard to Amphibians, Reptiles and Mammals. In this list 46 species and subspecies are considered of which 8 are Amphibians, 11 Reptiles and 27 Mammals. Ecological analysis has focused the attenction on the absence or scarcity of many thermophilous species, a fact which finds explanation, according to the Authors, in the "continental" position ofthe district. Among the species, many are rare or localized and some considerations are carried out in order to their management and protection.
