Riassunto - Gli Autori espongono i risultati delle loro ricerche su documenti - in buona parte manoscritti e inediti - e pubblicazioni che contengono indicazioni apprezzabili sullo stato del clima in alta V. Camonica: il periodo storico preso in esame va dalla metà del sec. XIV ai primi decenni del sec. XIX. In particolare per la V. d'Avio a giudizio degli AA. è possibile ricostruire il trend climatico tra la metà del sec. XIV e la fine del sec. XVI in termini di "optimum". Una fase di intensa e ininterrotta asprezza del clima interessa la V. Camonica tra il 1814 (1812?) e il 1817.
Abstract - A contribution to the study of the climate of the Upper Val Camonica (Brescia- Northern Italy) between the XIV an d XIX centuries AD. The Authors show the results of their researches carried out on documents, mainly unpublished manuscripts, and other publications about the climate of Upper Val Camonica. The period under examination is comprised between the middle of the XIV and the first decades of the XIX century AD. The val d'Avio is particularly suitable for the understanding of the climate "optimum" trend which occured between the middle of the XIV and the end ofXVI century AD. A worsening in the climate is documented in Val Camonica between 1814 (1812?) and 1817.
