Riassunto - L'esame delle associazioni malacologiche denota una buona copertura arborea con bosco deciduo a latifoglie, con un'alternanza di spazi con vegetazione diradata di tipo eliofilo-mesofilo. Retinella olivetorum è specie dominante mentre Pomatias elegans ha una presenza modesta rispetto a quella di altre zone della Pianura Padana appartenenti però a facies più tarde.

Abstract - Land snails of the early Neolithic of Fiorano Modenese (Modena- Northern ltaly ). Examination of the Mollusc associations denote a good tree cover with deciduous broadleaf woodland alternating with spaces having sparse vegetal cover of a heliophilic-mesophilic type. Retinella olivetorum is a dorninant species, whilst Pomatias elegans is modestly represented in comparison to other areas of the Po Valley belonging, however, to Jater facies.
