Riassunto- Il Gambero americano Orconectes limosus, un Crostaceo Decapode originario del Nord America ed introdotto in vari stati mitteleuropei, viene segnalato per la prima volta anche nelle acque italiane. La specie sembra essersi ben acclimatata nel Lago d'Iseo. Viene sottolineato il rischio che essa si diffonda in gran parte del bacino padano.
Abstract - The American Striped Cray Orconectes limosus (Rafinesque), a nearctic crustacean new in the italian freshwaters (Crustacea Decapoda Cambaridae). The American Striped Cray Orconectes limosus, introduced in several countries of Central Europe, is also reported for the first time for Italy. This crayfish seems to become well established in the Iseo Lake (Northern Italy). The Author underlines the risk of a possible territorial expansion of this species in the Po river drainage.
